Our Easy Stovetop Mac n’ Cheese

My wife Lori developed this perfect easy stovetop mac & cheese recipe when we opened our restaurant. It’s been a crowd favourite since the beginning, and a favourite of our two kids Spencer and Elizabeth forever. Kid-approved recipes are hard to come by, and this one will not disappoint.
The key to our Easy Stovetop Mac & Cheese recipe is that we use a Beurre Manie and not a Roux. A Beurre Manie is like Roux’s cousin, it does the same job as a thickener, but there is less room for error. It can be made the day before, which is nice, and incorporates much easier into hot milk, stock or broth, and once you try it, you’ll never but flour into hot butter ever again.
